Are you frustrated not to get where you want to be in life? Do you feel like you make the same resolutions every year and never watch? There are many reasons people are not where they want to be. I want to focus on one reason I believe is the biggest thing that keeps people back. The solution is the answer you provide for the following question.
You want to raise, this house or this car? Many want what others have but are not willing to do what they did to accomplish it! Once a year, everyone should reassess where they are in life, where they want to be and where they are actually on the way. I like working with a list of 3 different categories. Every year, when I finish my list, I'm comparing it with the one I created the year before. Get the pen and paper and go through the following questions.
Where are you now?
Generally, I usually write information about current circumstances. I include age, property I own and cars I own. I include things that I know I also want to add. I declare my savings, my income, my costs and even how much I'm heading. If I'm in a relationship or have family members, I'll list them too.
Where do you want to be one year from today?
I sometimes refer to answering the previous question when you register this list. Want to buy a house or a car? Want to double my savings? How much do I want to weigh one year from today? Is there any way to do this broken friendship or problem in my family? These questions should start, but try to come up with someone related to your own life.
What is stopping you from going where you want to be?
This is where your greatest time in this evaluation should be sent. A very big thing to lead me is me. This could also be the case in your life. In today's society, many do not accept responsibility for what they do not like in their lives. It's much easier to point your finger on someone else who says it's their fault. The truth is that in your situation too could be the only thing that stops you.
For example, one of my goals last year was to lose only 10 pounds. Now, because it's only 10 pounds, I think it's very easy to set this goal backwards. In fact, I'm not happy that 10 pounds are still there, but I also know what's stopping it happening. Once you've found out what's interfering with what you should do, not your goals will seem closer. You must now have a list of things you know you need to do or edit to do where you want to be.
I recommend you do this exercise at least once a year. I personally choose to do this every 6 months or so, but it's actually an individual. So, what prevents you from doing this exercise now?
