Successful executives are not necessarily true leaders. Many executives, mentors and even top executives perform their responsibilities without success without being good leaders. But these positions allow the opportunity to lead. The ability to really lead, will put outstanding executives apart from the average ones.
As managers have to deal with a daily complex organization, true leadership in actual orchestras involves important changes. While management involves planning and budgeting, it involves leading the policy (create vision) for the company. The board requires the organization to be organized, vocational training with talent and supervisory activities; Leadership goes beyond these actions by encouraging people to gain vision. Major leaders focus on moving the organization towards the ideal future and encouraging them to discover obstacles.
Companies succeed or fail not only because of how well they are managed but also because of how closely followers follow. Just as executives are not necessarily good leaders, people are not always good followers. The most effective followers can self-esteem and at the same time actively committed to organizational goals. As a manager, you will be asked to play the role of both leaders and followers. Defined from ineffective with their interest and commitment to planning and personality or purpose other than themselves or their own interests. They learn the skills that are useful to their organizations and maintain the performance of standards that are higher than required. To be a good leader, you must become a good follower first.
