Reflections of last year – Aim of setting new year strategies

I do not know about you, but I'm looking forward to getting older to seem faster. You know that cliché "time flies when you have fun". Well, I do not know if it happens but here it is again, another year passed.

By the end of the year there is a lot of citation about what you have achieved or not achieved during the year. As I reflect this year, I feel a mixture of emotions. Some things I'm not so happy with while I'm pretty good. All in all, I know that I'm blessed especially when I'm talking about loved ones and others who were lost to death this year.

This year, threatening destruction from hurricanes, tsunami, brushes, earthquakes, mudslides, floods, tornadoes, and loss of jobs has been reported that have affected people not only living in countries other than people living in the United States . As I reflect, it is also a question of how much we take course, but life is so small. The time we have here on earth is so precious and valuable that we should never complain or take as a matter of course what can be taken away at the moment. Therefore, I have decided to set some simple goals for myself in the coming year to maximize my time.

Here are some methods you might find helpful in setting goals for your life:

  • A good place to start is to reflect last year and analyze your success and analyze things that did not work well for you.
  • Think about the range of life you want to add. You may want to think about your relationships, finance, health, career, spirituality and tension and focus on certain areas by selecting 2-3 of the most important ones at this time.
  • Set up a few steps to accomplish your goals by following steps. For example, the goal could be a desire to lose 10 pounds in the next three months. Action steps to realize this goal may include visiting the gym twice every three weeks and eating healthy meals that contain more vegetables and less food.
  • Make your goals measurable, achievable and set a timeframe. Put them in accordance with what you can do with what you think you should do or what others have done.
  • Write down your goals and show yourself to them. In fact, you should visualize yourself by achieving your goals through the time you are working on them. This positive energy will help you succeed. Believing that you can achieve the goal is necessary. Writing your goals down also makes it more active.
  • Share your goals with someone who is important to you. If you think someone is supported and positive in your achievements, please share your goals with them.
  • Sign your progress. Writing down or posting the star to the calendar when you've achieved something related to goals gives you a list of your successes and helps confirm while boosting your self-esteem.
  • Be prepared to evaluate your goals on a monthly or every two months. This allows you to see where you are and if you need to make some changes to your action steps. If you find that you are not as good as you think you should review what prevents progress and eliminates the obstacle.
  • The best part is rewarding ones. Your prize is exciting and helps to encourage. Your prizes can be a cheap event or thing like treating you with a long hot bath or movie you've wanted to see.
  • Do not be afraid to change your goals if you need. Sometimes conditions change that may affect the program and you need to make changes. It's okay not tight. Change what needs to be changed and continue.

My hope is that you have found these methods useful when starting a new year with a plan, focus and positive outlook in the future. Good luck!
