How to keep the flesh under examination

Do you know your body is not yet saved?

I didn't. When I was thirteen, I gave my heart to Jesus. But I noticed very quickly because, while part of me wanted God and God's things, like reading the Bible and prayer, another part of me wanted to be part of the world, parts of the flesh. Am I the only one?

This was what I was confused at the beginning of my walk with Christ. And because what I do not understand when I gave my life to the Lord Jesus Christ, I doubt my salvation for more than a year. I'm not joking.

This was because I was wrongly taught something. I used to sing in the youth center in the church I attended and they sang a song that said, "I look at my hands and they looked new, I looked at my feet and they were too.

I thank God for that Church, because that it affects my life, with the proclamation of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, I was saved. But this song was wrong.

My hands were not new when I was saved. Feet get reborn. One part of me that was saved was my spirit, my body did not change and did not do so

Therefore, even if you have made a change, a real supernatural change in the holy spirit, you may feel wrong, nothing changed

And if you gave your flesh and sinned, the spiritual torture and sorrow hurts because within, you know you just want to please God. ta, my brothers and sisters, God has enabled us to control the young desires of the flesh

The body will once experience change, and this mortal flesh, this mortal humiliating body, will one day be changed and glorified to conform to the body of our master, the Lord Jesus Christ (Phil 3: 20-21); 1 Cor 15: 50-58).

But until then, we have to go to the Word of God and find out what to do with our bodies so that they do not swing and hinder us from God's will and back into old ways of action, from our past lives.

Have you had a problem with your flesh? Is your body sometimes still doing things you know are not right, what is not in line with God's Word. We can all report this, can't we?

Perhaps you came out of the life of adultery, which is sex outside of marriage. Now you are saved. You have given your life to the Lord Jesus Christ and experienced the power of purifying his blood, washing your sins away and making your spirit a new creation in him. Oh, all this wonders. You are new, recreated and renewed with the very life of God through the spirit of the living God. And for a time you publish in His presence. But after you start feeling back in your old life.

The feelings of the wicked start trying to seduce you to do things you know God doesn't like. You wonder what that is all about. You try to figure it out. You're disturbed. What's going on, do you start asking yourself? Am I really saved? I thought I was. People told me I was. The one who asked me told me I was. And the enemy says in your mind, maybe you're not saved. If you were saved, do not think about such thoughts and want to do such things. Maybe your sins are not washed away.

Don't listen to this liar. The devil is a liar and father lies. Jesus then said (John 8:44).

If you gave your life to the Lord Jesus Christ, by the power of God's holy written word, you are saved (Romans 10: 9-10).

The feelings you are experiencing is because your body, when it has already paid for the blood of Christ, has not yet experienced its redemption. God who knows this encourages us to give our body to him and give it to him and keep him under control at all times.

Even the apostle Paul, who had some visits from the Lord Jesus Christ himself and had been brought up to the third heaven and heard it unwelcome for a man to say, what came the revelation of Jesus Christ and who established churches for the Lord Jesus Christ, said that he had to keep their bodies under control in 1 Corinthians 9:27. "But I keep under my body and put it in the expression, so that I cannot fall into anyone when I have invited others."

Allow me to repeat the testimony of these scriptures from the enlightened Bible.

"But [like a boxer] I obscure my body [handle it roughly, discipline it but hardships] and deduct it, for fear that I have become incompetent [not stand the test , be unapproved and rejected as a counterfeit] after preaching the good news and others related to it." (9:27) 19659002] Why should the apostle Paul keep his body under the substance? He was saved, wasn't he? If there was someone who had a really good and unknown experience of God, it was Paul. Yet he had to endure his body with difficulty and treat it roughly. He had to let his body obey God. Why would Paul do this, can you ask again? The answer is because his body had not yet experienced redemption. It was not saved. Paul was rescued, but his body was not. And neither is yours.

Until the master arrives and our bodies change, you, like the apostle Paul, must pour on your body, handle it roughly, discipline it with difficulty, and train it to obey God's Word. It will sometimes be contrary to God's will. But you have to let your spirit, the real you, control that body and bring it under material. Don't let your flesh rule your life. Sure, what you try to do may seem like fun and fun. But your flesh, if it is allowed to remain in control, will eventually destroy you and keep you from experiencing God best for your life.

Let me show you this from the Word of God in Romans 8: 5-6 and 12-13, "For those who are left flesh, think of the flesh of the flesh, but they are after the Spirit, the Spirit of God. physical (physical) mind is death: but being spiritually minded is life and peace. "

What can we do with our flesh, can you wait? What is the answer to dealing with wicked passion and desires? How can we overcome that? This I will find further in another article. But now, as the Apostle Paul gives us the answer,

Romans 12: 1, "I beg you, brethren, with God's mercy, that you present your body with a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is fair your service. "
Here is how the translation of the Bible means this verse:

" Therefore, I plead with you brothers, and in the light of God's mercy, ask you to take the decisive dedication of your body [presenting all your members and institutions] as a living offense, holy (sanctified, ordained) and well-pleasing to God, a reasonable (sensible, intelligent) service and spiritual worship. "(12: 1, AMP)
